[IMAGE]    Who is the PIPPY?

PIPPY is actually the name of my female golden retriever! She goes by a variety of names including: Pippy, The Pippy, and Miss Pip. As a real life dog and as an imaginary friend, she has helped my stepdaughter enter into the world of emergent literacy. When this little girl was in first grade, she brought home Curious George for the weekend. Her task was to write a story of Curious George's tales over the time he spent with us. Curious George ended up flying on Miss Pip's back to one of our local grocery stores and thus the link between the Pippy and emergent literacy had begun!

PIPPY was the original name for AAC Intervention.com.  AAC Intervention.com was begun in 1998 by two speech/language pathologists with over 25 years combined experience working with person's who needed augmentative/alternative communication systems.

Our purpose in developing AAC emergent literacy products is to provide creative materials to parents, teachers and therapists to use in teaching early literacy skills to their children who currently have limited verbal speech skills. We are very concerned with your feedback and needs. Please e-mail us with ideas, suggestions and ways we can help!
