Create an Outline Numbered List in Word

Outline numbered lists can have up to nine levels.

1.  On the Format menu, click Bullets and Numbering, and then click the Outline Numbered tab.

2. .Click a list format that does not contain the text "Heading 1", and then click OK.

3.  Type the list, pressing ENTER after each item, this will automatically create an outline.

4.  To move an outline numbered item to the appropriate numbering level, do one of the following on the Formatting toolbar:
