These two crazy but creative ladies have put their heads together to provide a potpourri of AAC intervention ideas designed to teach emergent literacy, Minspeak and early augmentative communciation skills. This presentation has received overwhelmingly positive reviews at conferences such as Closing the Gap, the Wisconsin AAC Conference and the Wisconsin Speech Language and Hearing Convention.

appropriate vocabulary is contributes significantly to the success of the
augmentative/alternative communication system user. This lively
presentation is designed to provide participants with suggestions for
choosing appropriate vocabulary for augmentative/alternative system users
of all ages. Topics include: where to begin, use of dialoguing and
conducting an environmental assessment.

However, many find themselves part of a "team" that behaves mroe as an independent group of individuals. This presentation is designed to actively engage participants in a variety of group exercised which will enable them to become more effective team members. Participants will develop a better understanding of the team process, learn how to conduct more effective meetings, and engage in brainstorming designed to identify unmet AAC/AT needs.
